Trace the
Source.
We're building traceability so families can know exactly where their food came from. Every farm. Every animal. Every step.
"I want customers to be able to trace their food back to its source — to see the farm it came from, learn how the animal was raised, and understand the process that brought that meat to their table."
— From Our Story
Full lot-tracked traceability is one of the most important things we're building. But we'd rather wait and do it right than launch something half-finished that lets you down.
When it goes live, you'll be able to look up any Prime Cuts package and see the farm it came from, how the animal was raised, when it was processed, and the whole journey to your door.
Until then — here's what we're building.
Farm to
Family Table.
Five stages between the pasture and your kitchen. Traceability means being able to prove every one of them, on every package.
- 01
Farm
Trusted Wisconsin family farms we've visited and vetted.
- 02
Animal
Raised on pasture with feed and care we can vouch for.
- 03
Processing
Hand-cut, hung 7–10 days, and vacuum-sealed the right way.
- 04
Prime Cuts
Lot-tracked, flash-frozen, and packed for delivery.
- 05
Your Family
Delivered to your door. Traceable back to the pasture.
Someday soon,
you'll be able to…
Look up any Prime Cuts package by scan or by typing the lot number. See the farm. See the story. This is what the finished experience will look like.

What we're
working on.
Real traceability isn't just a database. It's every step, in the physical world, done right. Here's what we're solving before we launch.
Farm partnerships
Formalizing individual-animal tracking with every partner farm. We need to know each animal from birth, not just from delivery.
Package labels that last
Frozen meat is hard on labels. We're testing print methods that survive freezer moisture, fat, and vacuum-seal creases.
Lookup that's foolproof
QR codes fail. So we're building a scan-or-type system with fallbacks - if you can read the code, you can find your package.
Farmer stories
The lookup won't just show a farm name. It'll show the farmer, the land, the practices - so you actually know who raised your food.
Every animal, every cut
End-to-end lot tracking so a package of ground beef ties back to a specific animal, not just a batch or a date.
No half-measures
We won't launch until every step works. If we can't prove where your meat came from, we won't pretend we can.
We'd rather wait and get it right
than launch it broken.
Traceability is one of the most important things a meat company can offer. It's also one of the easiest to fake. When we launch ours, you'll know it works - because we didn't ship it until it did.
